It was a relaxing day. We first started out with some toe painting.

It was time to get outta the house so Mom strapped on her new running shoes and we headed uphill to the park.

We enjoyed our favorite activity- The swings!!

Ainsley informed me her hat was bothering her.

I needed to fix it and apparently this

is fixed.

then it was onto lunch

we brought the usual apple, carrots, cereal and our latest obsession, Edamame.

Emmie decided she needed to fit in some yoga after the long stroller ride home

then it was upstairs for a prolonged savasana in the crib.

A day in the life…

In sunny San Diego the days pass by pretty quickly. I better start documenting these times before i blink and they’re over.

We decided to take a trip to our usual morning spots. First the library then to our local park on the coast. We were a little detoured with a a nature ride. We checked out the snails. Raced the cars. and took in a little sun.

After the library we arrived at our Favorite park and ate our lunch among the sunshine the waves and friends.

Still Alive- Halloween Update

Wow.. is anyone still out there? Anyways, lets forget that there’s no update for the last 11! months and move forward.

The girls have been down with a cold the last week or so which made for an uneventful Halloween. Unfortunately we missed out on all the parties but did manage to wander over to a few neighbors houses. The girls were very curious as to why they were being urged to grab candy from a bowl but once the concept caught on they were all for it. I was surprised that their favorite part of the night was passing out candy to the trick-or-treaters. Ainsley loved putting each piece in their bags and as the kids left both girls would hold their little arms out with a candy, yelling ” Mo.. Mooo Moore..” It was too cute!

Swinging Sisters

Today the weather was so nice outside, Mom took us to the park. On the way over we enjoyed our favorite food- Crackers! London was very excited to get out of the house. He kept running ahead of the stroller.
At the park there were lots of kids to watch. They liked chasing London and that made us laugh. We also got to try out the swings for the first time. I loved it! Sister wasn’t so sure about it. While we were swinging I sang her a little song to try to comfort her. I hope the weather stays nice so we can go back soon!

Coralling the Chaos

My baby girls are nine months old now. I feel like every month that goes by I say, “This is definitely my favorite age”. I wonder if there will be a point in which I’ll wish they were still a previous age over the current one, but at this point they are learning and doing new things everyday. It’s so fun to learn more about them and watch as they become more active, more expressive, more opinionated and just so very different. The best thing has been watching them play together. Wherever Emmie goes, Ainsley is not far behind. Whatever Ainsley has Emmie is sure to be interested in it. Emmie is far more adventurous and active, seeking to destroy anything in her path. Ainsley is more focused and aware of those around her. She likes to focus on one object and examine how it works. Emmie is far to busy for such things.

During the first few weeks after the girls began crawling, it was relatively easy to build a barricade that kept them in and out of places. However, now they are much to strong and smart to be fooled by such things, they either go through it or over it, so we invested in the Ultimate Baby Jail. So far it has been great. It allows them freedom to roam around, make a mess, and I don’t have to worry if they are into something they shouldn’t be or if they’re attempting to climb into the fireplace. Now if only I could keep them from pulling each other’s hair and using the other as a stepping stool.

Hungry Hungry Hippos

Today we went with Mom and Grandma to run some errands. Of coarse we hit up Costco. While we were out it got pretty cold, and Mom forgot our sweatshirts. Lucky us, Grandma bought us some cute warm sweatshirts. All that shopping made us pretty hungry so we got some yummy bagels from Trader Joes.
Lately we’ve been trying lots of new foods. In the morning we love waffles, bananas, yogurt, apples and our favorite Cheerios. We also like frozen peas, green beans, raviolis, carrots and spinach. It’s so fun exploring new foods. We’re glad Mom is such a good cook.
